On this homepage, we invite you to learn more about a very special part of Europe’s Natura 2000 conservation network and the LIFE Programme supported by the European Commission, which is designed to conserve nature in all its diversity for future generations.

From October 2013 to March 2018, the Biologische Station im Kreis Wesel has been committed to conserving the habitats, flora and fauna of the floodplain in Orsoyer Rheinbogen. While our project has ended, our commitment for the Natura 2000 area in the Rhine bend at Orsoy has not.

We would like to give you an understanding of our conservation work and invite you to participate in Europe´s natural heritage. On this homepage we tell about the objectives of our efforts and the measures we have undertaken to meet them.

As Downloads you can find more information, especially the colorful layman´s report, which you can also get as print from Biologische Station im Kreis Wesel e.V., Freybergweg 9, 46483 Wesel.
